Day 88 - First Family Picture

At almost three months old, we had our very first portrait as a family of five…

.

There were no coordinated outfits,

No cute props,

We didn’t have a professional photographer,

And I didn’t do my hair or makeup.

.

This picture is absolutely nothing like our first family portrait should have looked, but it is richer than anything I could have ever dreamt.

.

In order to get this lack luster photo, it required 2 surgeries for me, 4 for my boys, countless blood transfusions, an infection, constant respiratory support and more miracles than this mother deserves.

.

Simply making it to day 88 as a family of 5 meant that our warrior were alive. They were winning and, consequently, our family was winning the smallest fight of our lives.
