Day 97 - One Down, One to Go

Day 97 - One Down, One to Go

10/22/17 Day 97 of Life
.

As I did every day, I woke up at 4 or 5 am and called the NICU to see how the night went. This day was different though. I was going to find out if Lochlan passed the car seat test and if he had, we were going to bring home home for the first time in over 3 months.
.
He had passed! I felt scared, excited and anxious. All of those emotions were quickly overshadowed with gratitude.
.
Our son Lochlan was more neurologically challenged than his twin and not only was he coming home before his brother, but he was being discharged 2 weeks before his due date. Miracles happen, this was one of them. .
We packed our things and our loaded up our daughter and headed to the NICU to bring our 3-month-old “newborn” home.
