Sucking on a pacifier may seem like a small thing, but this was a huge accomplishment for our boys.
.
This showed us that’s they may be ready to start nursing or bottle feeding. We were told that feeding a preemie usually came with challenge.
.
And of course the boys needed to get off CPAP and onto high flow oxygen in order to try to take a bottle....but still!

There are no “small” victories in the NICU. Each inch stone meant we were one step closer to discharge.
